Ausstellung an der Dorfet / exhibition at the Dorfet

Dieses Jahr habe ich nicht viele Fotos gemacht, da wir einen Fotograf hatten, der dann sogar ein Büchlein macht. Aber ein paar Bilder vom letzten Wochenende kann ich euch schon zeigen.

This year I haven't made a lot of pictures because we had a photographer who even will make a little booklet. But some photos from the last weekend I will show you.

This year by the end of May the Dorfet takes place and we again are there with our quilt exhibition.

Challenge Neftiquilter

Es machte Spass diesen Quilt zu nähen und der Titel ist ja auch ganz klar: Alle Vögel sind schon da

It was fun to sew this quilt and the title is also clear: All birds are already here.

Challenge Neftiquilter

 Für den Challenge zum Thema Musik habe ich lange studiert, was ich da machen sollte. Da fiel mir auf einmal ein Geschenk von einer Quiltfreundin ein und diesen Stoff möchte ich in den Quilt integrieren, da meine Enkelin im Moment das Lied "Alle Vögel sind schon da" liebt.

For the Challenge to the theme music I have thought a lot what to do. Then I remembered a fabric gift I received from a dear friend and this fabric I sure will use in this challenge quilt also because my granddaughter loves the song "alle Vögel sind schon da" (all birds are here).

erste Schritte / first steps

Die Neftiqulter machen einen Challenge und zwar zum Thema "tierisch". Der Quilt muss 60 x 60 cm gross sein und zudem sollte er einige Handstiche/-stickereien beinhalten. Hmm für mich alles andere als leicht, da ich ja nicht so tierisch unterwegs bin und auch nicht die Handstickerin bin. Lange habe ich hin und her überlegt, aber nun weiss ich was ich mache.....

The Neftiquilter are doing a challenge to the theme "animal". The quilt has to be 60 x 60 cm (23,5 x 23,5") and then there have also be some handstitching in it. Hmmm sure not an easy task for me because I am sure not animalish and handstitching isn't also not my thing. A long time thought about it and now I now what I will do......

Nähtag mit den Neftiquiltern / sewing day with the Neftiquilter

 Für die Nähtage, welche 2x im Jahr durchgeführt werden, nehme ich immer etwas mit, woran ich einfach ohne viel zu studieren nähen kann. Jetzt habe ich mir eine Arbeit ausgesucht, die mich sehr wahrscheinlich einige Jahre begleitet. 

For the sewing days which take place 2x a year, I always are looking for a work where I just can sew without much thinking and planning. Now I probably have choosen a work which will company me for some years.

Sunprinting

Nach unserem Nachmittagshöck im August zeigte uns Yvonne bei sich zu Hause das Sunprinting. Die Neftiquilterinnen waren fleissig beim Belegen der Stoffe. Leider habe ich keine Fotos von den fertig bedruckten Stoffe, aber ihr könnt bestimmt einige davon dann an unserer nächsten Quiltausstellung an der Dorfet im Jahr 2024 bereits im Quilt verarbeitet sehen 😉

After our afternoon meeting in August, Yvonne showed us at her home sunprinting. The quilters have been very busy in putting things on the fabric. Unfortunately I didn't made any pictures of the printed fabric. But I am sure you can see some of them already made into quilts at our next quiltexhibition at the Dorfet in the year 2024 😉

 

 

Abendanlass der Neftiquilter / evening meeting of the Neftiquilter

 Es ist schon ein Weilchen her (Ende August) als sich die Neftiquilter an einem Abend trafen. Yvonne hatte spannende Übungen für uns vorbereitet. Schrift / Schreiben - eigentlich nichts für mich, aber es machte mega Spass und einige der Übungen möchte ich gerne mit euch teilen.

Already some time ago (end August) the Neftiquilter did meet on an evening. Yvonne prepared some excercises for us. Letterin / writing - not really something I like but it was so fun to make these exercises and I am glad to share you some of them.

 

In den eigenen 4 Wänden / in the own 4 walls

 Heute zeige ich euch meinen Quilt, den ich für unseren Gruppenchallenge genäht habe. Den Binärcode Stoff erhielten alle Teilnehmerinnen und es musste die Farbe rot verwendet werden. Man durfte dann noch die Grösse auswählen. Ein spannendes Projekt, das an der GV von patCHquilt im Frühling in Solothurn gezeigt wurde und dann natürlich auch an unserer Gruppenaustellung an der Dorfet.

Today I am showing you my quilt which I made for the group challenge. The fabric with the binocärcode on it we received and then we had to use the color red.. Each one could also decide  which size from the layout you want to make. An interesting project which has been shown at the General assembly of the Swiss guild in Solothurn and of course it was also shown at our group exhibition at the Dorfet.
