 Und schon ist die Woche wieder vorbei und wir sind zu Hause. Hier noch ein paar Impressionen und Werke von dieser Woche.

And already a great week is over and we are at home again. Here some impressions from the week and quilts.

 Und schon sind wir in der Hälfte der Kurswoche angelangt. Meine Teilnehmerinen arbeiten super und haben schon schöne Sachen kreiert.

And already the half of this quiltingweek passed. My Students did a great Job and have created nice Quilts.

Die letzten Vorbereitungen laufen und es hat immer noch Platz, also auch Kurzentschlossene können sich noch melden.

Quiltwoche in Samnaun / quilting week in Samnaun

 Trudy und ich freuen uns sehr auf die Quiltwoche in Samnaun. Da sich einige für diese Kurswoche abgemeldet haben, hat es noch Platz für Kurzentschlossene vom 4.-10. Juli 2021. Die Vorbereitungen laufen heiss, d.h. sind zum Teil natürlich schon erledigt.

Trudy and myself are looking forward to the quilting week in Samnaun. Because some of the students did cancel their participation, we are glad to tell you that we are able to take in some more students who are impulsive and want to come to Samnaun from 4th - 10th July 2021. The preparations for these workshops are going strong but of course the most of it is done.

Trudy Kleinstein (click) und ich sind nach wie vor optimistisch, dass wir unsere Quiltwoche in den Bergen im Juli durchführen können. Es hat noch ein paar freie Plätze. Trudy Kleinstein (click) and myself are still very optimistic that we can held the quilting week in the mountains this July. There are some places left. In the bulletin of the Swiss Guild patCHquilt (click) is a report about this quilting week. Also in the sidebar of this blog you can see the flyer.

 Beim quilten entschied ich mich für parallelle Wellenlinien.

I decided to quilt parallell wave lines.

 

 

Vorbereitungen / preparations

 Die Blöcke sind genäht und an der Designwand, aber so geht es nicht, gefällt mir nicht,  keine Spannung: Nichts!

The blocks are sewn and are on the designwall now but I don't like it. There is no excitement: Nothing!

Quiltwoche in den Bergen / quilting week in the mountains

So, eine der Übungen für Samnaun für die Quiltwoche (click) habe ich vorbereitet und hoffe, dass sie euch dann genau so Spass macht wie mir. Am liebsten hätte ich davon noch mehr Blöcke genäht, aber ich habe ja noch anderes mit den Workshopteilnehmerinnen vor.

Well, one of the exercises for Samnaun for the quilting week (click) is prepared and ready and I hope that you then also will have so much fun with it as I did. It was so fun to sew that I didn't want to stop and would have loved to sew more blocks but I also want to prepare more exercises with the workshop participants.

Rückblick / review

Eigentlich wäre ich jetzt zusammen mit vielen anderen Frauen in Samnaun und morgen würde die Quiltwoche in den Bergen beginnen. Aber aus aktuellem Anlass mussten wir uns entscheiden, die Kurswoche dieses Jahr abzusagen. Für nächstes Jahr planen wir aber wieder eine Kurswoche in den Bergen. Heute zeige ich einfach ein paar Projekte, die wir letztes Jahr gemacht haben. Es war schön.

Now I should be together with a lot of other women in Samnaun where tomorrow the Quiltweek in the mountain would have started. But because of Corona we had to decide to postpone it. But next year we are planning to have this workshops again. Today I am showing you some project from last year. It was a good time and they made beautiful quilts.
