Häkeltasche statt Plastik / crochet bag instead of plasticbags

Vor einigen Jahren erhielt ich diese Schnur mit Glitzer drin. Genau richtig um mir eine Häkeltasche zu häkeln, aber leider reichte das Garn nicht. Nun muss ich schauen mit was ich es ergänzen will.

A few years ago I received this cord with glitter in it. Perfect for crocheting a bag, but unfortunately the cord wasn't enough for the whole bag. Now I have to think with what kind of cord I will continue.

Stricknachmittag / knitting afternoon

Am Freitagnachmittag war wiedereinmal ein Stricknachmittag. Ich habe dann nicht gestrickt sondern meine schon längere in Arbeit stehende Jacke in tunesischem Häkeln mitegenommen. Das Rückenteil ist fertig und nun bin ich am ersten Vorderteil. Es macht Spass.

On Friday afternoon we had once again our knitting afternoon. I didn't knit, I brought my tunesian crochet with me. I have started long time ago a jacket and now I've done the back and are on the first piece of the front. It is fun.

Pullover / sweater

Spitze am unteren Pullirand (leider ist die Farbe nicht so gut, das grün ist in Wirklichkeit viel satter)
Lace on the low end of the sweater (unfortunately the color isn't showing well here, in reality the green is much nicer and more colorful)

Meinen Pullover habe ich fertiggestrickt, jetzt kommt nur noch die Feinarbeit. Am unteren Pullirand gibt es eine Spitze und um den V-Ausschnitt, was doch noch mehr Arbeit gibt als zuerst angenommen. Ich vermute sogar, dass ich für den Ausschnitt einen ganzen Knäuel Garn verhäkeln darf.

My sweater is finished with knitting, now there is time for the finework. On the sweater bottom there will be a lace as well as around the v-neck which is still a lot of work, more than I first thought. I guess that the crocheted lace for the v-neck will nearly need about 1 skein of yarn.

Dies ist ein sehr alte, selber gehäkelte Decke, ursprünglich grau. Als ich letzte Woche einen Schrank ausmistete, kam diese Decke zum Vorschein. Grau, war gar nicht mein Ding, aber die Grösse wäre gut für unseren Salontisch. Ab ins Javel mit der Decke um zu entfärben und dann in die Waschmaschine um grün gefärbt zu werden. Ich war selber erstaunt wie gut das ging und wie perfekt sie nun passt.

This is an old self crocheted table runner and it used to be gray. When I cleaned out a cupboard last week I found this old tablerunner, but grey..... but the size fits perfect for the table. I put it into Javel to discharge but it didn't work so the tablerunner went into the washingmachine with green color to dye and it worked great. I myself was quite astonished when I saw the result and now it fits perfectly.

Das ist das Resultat von diesem Wochenende in tunesischem Häkeln. Es macht einen Riesenspass und ich kann so einen Teil meiner Wolle verarbeiten. Wenn das Stück fertig ist, sollte es eine Jacke geben. Wann es soweit ist, weiss ich selbstverständlich noch nicht; es wird auf jedenfall eine zeitlose Jacke!

Heute war ein Porträt von mit im Landboten, der Regionalzeitung von Winterthur und Umgebung. Eine halbe Seite wurde über mein Hobby und mich geschrieben. Ich habe den "Plausch" und natürlich erhielt ich auch schon einige Reaktionen darauf. Ich finde es gut, wenn öfters etwas über unser Hobby dem patchen und quilten in der Zeitung steht.

This is the result from this weekend in Tunesian crochet. It was fun and so I can use up some of my wool stock. When the piece is done it should be a jacket. When this will be - I don't know yet but I'll make sure that it will be a timeless jacket!

Today an article about me and my hobby was printed in the newspaper from Winterthur. They have written about half a page and I find it "cool" and of course I already got some reaction to this article. I think it is good to read more often about patchwork and quilting.
