langsamer Fortschritt / slowly progress

Langsam aber stetig komme ich voran. Hier ein Ausschnitt von einem Block.

Ausflug / trip

Am letzten Juniwochenende machte ich einen Ausflug nach Genf um meine Tante zu besuchen. Es war schön.

On the last weekend in June I made a trip to Geneva to visit my aunt. It was beautiful.

Miniatur Juni

Letzten Monat habe ich auch einen Miniquilt genäht. Hier ist das Resultat.

Last month I also sewed a mini quilt. Here the result.

Hier ein kleiner Ausschnitt von meinem Quilt "Hitzeflimmern" der im Elsass für die Ausstellung "Im Laufe der Jahreszeiten" angenommen wurde.

Here a small detail of my quilt "heat haze" which was accepted in the Alsace for the exhibition "In the course of the Seasons".

WIP

Langsam aber sicher wächst mein nächster Quilt. Es gibt aber noch viel zu tun und ich vermute, dass ich auch noch einiges ausstauschen muss.

Slowly but steady my next quilt is growing. But there is still a lot to do and I guess that I also have to change this and that.

Garten / garden

Auch wenn der Frühling vorbei ist, blüht es in meinem Garten.

Even sping is over, there are flowers blooming in my garden.

Im Ferbruar und März 2018 habe ich euch etwas zur Entstehung von diesem Quilt hier auf dem Blog gezeigt. Hier nun das fertige Stück. Diesen Quilt habe ich für die kleine, aber feine Ausstellung in Winterberg genäht.

In February and March 2018 I told and showed you on my blog a little about how I made this quilt. Here the finished one. This quilt I made for a little exhibition in Winterberg, Switzerland.

Ferien zu Hause / vacation at home

Diese Woche habe ich frei und geniesse es sehr. So konnte ich an den Wochenmarkt in Winterthur, wo es natürlich einfach schön ist mit all den Blumen und Gemüsen.

This week I had vacation and I really enjoyed it. So I was able to visit the weekly market in Winterthur, where of course it always is beautiful with all the flowers and vegetables.

Challenge Quilts am QIPD

Am Quilt in Public Day zeigten die Irchelquilter ihren Challenge zum Thema "Geometrie". Jeder Quilt musste 40 x 40 cm gross sein und der graue Stoff integriert. Untenstehend mein Beitrag dazu.

At the Quilt in Public Day the Irchelquilter showed their challenge to the theme "Geometrie". Each quilt measures 16 x 16" and the grey fabric has to be included. Below my quilt.

Einer Quiltfreundin gefiel mein Quilt so gut, da er in ihre Küche passe, dass ich ihn ihr gleich geschenkt habe und ich glaube sie hat Freude daran :-)

A quilting friend liked this quilt very much because it suits perfectly into her kitchen. So I just gave it to her and I think she likes it. :-)

Quilt in Public Day

Morgen ist es wieder einmal so weit und wir zeigen euch im Café im Stall was wir alles so machen und natürlich auch noch unseren Challenge zum Thema "Geometrie". Interessant wie verschieden unsere 11 Mitglieder an die Sache gingen.

Tomorrow it is once again time for the Quilt in Public Day where we show you in the Café im Stall what we are doing as well as a little quilt exhibition from our challenge "geometrie". It is interesting how everyone interpreted this theme.

Start

Das ist mein neuestes Projekt. Mal sehen ob es etwas wird. Diesen Quilt mache ich für mein Schlafzimmer.

This is my newest project. I am curious if it will work. This quilt I am making for my bedroom.

Impressionen aus meinem Garten / Impressions from my garden

Dieses Jahr hat es ja herrlich geblüht und ich habe mich jeden Tag über neue Blumen und meinen Garten im allgemeinen gefreut. Hier möchte ich euch ein wenig daran teilhaben.

This year it was a great spring and I was glad that every day new flowers got into bloom and I also enjoyed my garden in gerneral. Here I want to share some pictures with you.

Über eine Nachricht habe ich mich riesig gefreut. Mein Quilt "Stairways to Heaven" ist für die Fine Art Quilt Masters am Festival of Quilts in Birmingham angenommen worden. Nachfolgend ein kleiner Ausschnitt vom Quilt, der 178 x 197 cm gross ist.

A message I've got lately, I was really pleased with. My quilt "Stairways to Heaven" was accepted for the Fine Art Quilt Masters at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham. Below a little detail of my quilt which measures 70 x 77,5".
