Zusammen mit einer Freundin besuchte ich anfangs August den Kulturort Galerie Weiertal (click). Im schönen grossen und idyllischen Garten waren viele Objekte aufgestellt. Hier eine kleine Auswahl davon.
Together with a friend I visited at the beginning of August the Kulturort Galerie Weitertal (click). In the big beautiful and idyllic garden there are a lot of objects. Here I am showing you a small part of it.

Da ich im Sommer weniger in meinem Nähzimmer bin, staune ich immer wieder, wie schnell es trotzdem zu einem Chaos verkommt. Sobald es einmal schlechter Wetter ist, muss ich dringenst aufräumen, d.h. zuerst müsste ich noch einen Quilt fertigstellen......
Because during the summer I am not that often in my sewingroom, I am always astonished how untidy it gets. As soon as rainy weather comes, I have to clean up my room but to be honest there is also a quilt waiting to be finished.....
Bei diesem herrlichen Sommer sind wir wieder einmal an einem Abend zum Hüttwilersee gefahren um zu baden, picknicken und den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang zu sehen (nicht ganz so spektakulär, da keine Wolken am Himmel waren)
On this wonderful summer we went once again on an evening to the Hüttwilerlake to swimm, picknick and watching the sunset (this time it wasn't so spectacular because there have been no clouds in the sky).
Letzten Samstag hatte ich die Möglichkeit an der Vernissage der Ausstellung "natur pur" dabei zu sein. Trudy Kleinstein und Iris Patch haben eine sehr schöne, sehenswerte Ausstellung zusammengestellt. Hier (click) könnt ihr alle Details dazu erfahren. Und von mir hier ein paar Details.

Das wird ein Kissen. Es ist aber noch nicht fertig. Wenn ich es dann fertig genäht und gebürstet und gewaschen habe, werde ich es euch zeigen.

Diese Täschchen habe ich mit Ecoprinting Stoffen genäht. Finde es süss, auch die Form ist einmal etwas anders :-).
These bags I have sewn out with the eco printing fabrics. I like them, also the shape, it is different but nice :-)
Heute vor einer Woche kam ich aus einer sehr inspirierenden Woche aus Samnaun nach Hause. Natürlich habe ich meine Stoffe gleich gewaschen und dann auch gebügelt und Fotos davon gemacht. 😀
A week ago I came home from an inspiring week in Samnaun. Of course I washed all my fabric and afterwards ironed them and made some pictures of it. 😀

Heute zeige ich euch meinen Quilt, den ich für unseren Gruppenchallenge genäht habe. Den Binärcode Stoff erhielten alle Teilnehmerinnen und es musste die Farbe rot verwendet werden. Man durfte dann noch die Grösse auswählen. Ein spannendes Projekt, das an der GV von patCHquilt im Frühling in Solothurn gezeigt wurde und dann natürlich auch an unserer Gruppenaustellung an der Dorfet.
Today I am showing you my quilt which I made for the group challenge. The fabric with the binocärcode on it we received and then we had to use the color red.. Each one could also decide which size from the layout you want to make. An interesting project which has been shown at the General assembly of the Swiss guild in Solothurn and of course it was also shown at our group exhibition at the Dorfet.
Auch stricken ist eine Leidenschaft von mir, obwohl ich an diesem Pullover schon über ein Jahr dran bin, vielleicht schaffe ich es auf diesen Sommer? Es braucht nicht mehr viel. Mal sehen.
Also knitting is a passion of mine even I am knitting on this shirt / pullover for over an year already. Maybe I'll be able to finish it this summer; it doesn't need much work anymore. Well, we'll see.
Letzte Woche erhielt ich die Nachricht, dass mein Quilt beim Wettbewerb im Elsass nicht angenommen wurde, resp. ich erhielt die Liste von den akzeptierten Quilts. Ja nu, habe es vermutet, obwohl mir der Quilt sehr gut gefällt; aber manchmal sind die Juroren nicht meiner Meinung 😉. Für mich kein grosses Problem, denn es gibt ja noch andere Ausstellungen, wo ich versuchen kann ihn einzureichen. Darum zeige ich hier nur ein Detail davon.
Last week I received the message that my quilt wasn't accepted for the competition of the Alsace or better I received a list from all the accepted quilters. Well, I guessed it even I like this quilt very much, but sometimes the jurors haven't the same opinion as I do 😉. For me it isn't a problem because there are more exhibitions where I can try to get my quilt in. Therefore I am showing you only a detail of it.
Für ein neues Projekt / Werk habe ich so einige Ideen, weiss aber einfach noch nicht genau wie ich das Ganze umsetzen soll.
For a new project / work I have some ideas but don't know exactly how I will transfer them.
Und dieser kleine Quilt fand auch ein neues Zuhause.
And this small quilt also did find a new home.
