Vorbereitungen / preparations

Soeben habe ich alle meine Quilts, die ich an der Dorfet bei den Neftiquiltern ausstellen möchte bereit gelegt. Morgen Abend und am Freitag werde sie dann alle gehängt, damit ihr sie dann am Freitagabend, am Samstag und Sonntag zusammen mit insgesamt ca. 150 Quilts von gross bis klein anschauen könnt. Nähere Angaben könnt ihr hier (klick)  entnehmen. Würde mich freuen, dich an der Ausstellung zu sehen.

I've just brought down all my quilts which will be exhibited at the Dorfet at the Neftiquilter quilt show. Tomorrow evening and on Friday they all will be hanged together with a total,of approx. 150 quilts from big to small. More information you can find here (click). Umbau / renovation

Meine Tochter ist nun ausgezogen und ihr Zimmer wird nun mein Nähzimmer. Endlich habe ich dann eine grosse Designwand. Aber es ist noch viel zu tun. Freue mich sehr auf dieses Zimmer!

 

My daughter moved out and her room will now be my sewing room. Finally I will have a large design wall. But there is a lot to do. I'm looking forward to this room!

Dies war mein Beitrag zur Ausstellung "Celebrating together", die erstmals am Swiss Quilt Festival in Solothurn gezeigt wurde.

 

This was my share for the exhibition "celebrating together" which was shown for the first time at the Swiss Quilt Festival in Solothurn.

Treffen / meeting

Am Wochenende trafen wir (Falera-Ladies) uns am Bodensee in Hegne um zu fachsimpeln. Es war ein sehr informatives und inspirierendes Wochenende. Hier ein paar Bilder dazu:

Heute zeige ich euch ein paar Details von meinem Quilt "kunterbunte Spielereien", der nun während 4 Tagen am Swiss Quilt Festival in Solothurn gehangen ist.

 

Today I'm showing you some details of my quilt "kunterbunte Spielereien" which was exhibited during the last 4 days at the Swiss Quilt Festival in Solothurn.

 

Farben nähen / sewing colours

Ein Traum mehr hat sich für mich erfüllt. Gestern und heute besuche ich im Rahmen des Swiss Quilt Festivals einen Kurs mit Maryline Collioud. Die Übungen, die wir machen mussten waren super und ich habe wieder einiges über Farben gelernt. Die folgenden Bilder brauchen keine Worte.

 

A dream came true. Yesterday and today I had a workshop with Maryline Collioud. The exercises we had to do were super and I have learned again more things about color. The following pictures don't need any explications.

adieu

Adieu "Goldregen"! Heute konnte ich diesen Quilt verkaufen. Freude oder Traurigkeit? Freude, dass der Goldregen jemandem so gut gefallen hat, dass er ihn kaufen wollte und Traurigkeit weil er mir selber auch sehr gut gefällt und ich ihn nicht mehr sehen werde! Bis heute Morgen hing er nämlich im Büro, wo ich arbeite.

 

Adieu "goldrain"! Today I could sell this quilt. Joy or sadness? Joy because someone loved this quilt so much that he bought it and saddness because I won't see it again and I liked it so much. Until this morning it was hanging on the wall at work.

Neftidorfet

Vom 30. Mai - 1. Juni findet wieder die Dorfet hier in Neftenbach satt und wir die Neftiquilter stellen wieder unsere Quilts aus. Dieses Mal an einem neuen Ort. Nähere Angaben findet ihr auf unserer Homepage hier (klick). Diesen Quilt, den wir in vielen Stunden gemeinsam von Hand genäht habt, könnt ihr gewinnen. Der Erlös aus dieser Aktion geht dieses Jahr and Hiki (Hirnverletze Kinder).

 

From 30th May - 1st June once again the Dorfet takes place in Neftenbach and we the Neftiquilter are showing our quilts. This time in a new place. noch ein UFO / another UFO

Hier habe ich noch ein UFO, wo ich im Moment nicht weiss, was damit zu machen ist.

 

Here I have another UFO with which I don't know what to do.

 

 

Im Moment ist bei mir sowieso irgendwie Funkstille oder eine Kreativpause. Hoffe aber, dass es sich bald wieder ändert.

 

At the moment there is nothing going on or you also can call it a creative stop. But I hope that soon it will change.

Farn / fern

Für mich immer wieder faszinierend wie sich das Farn entrollt.

 

For me it is always fascinating how the fern in unrolling.

 

wieder zurück an der Nähmaschine / back again at the sewing machine

Nimmt es mir meine Nähmaschine übel, dass ich so lange nicht mehr nähte? Kaum begonnen hatte ich schon eine schöne krumme Nadel! ;-)

 

Is my sewing machine miffed about not being sewing for so long? Shortly after I started sewing I've got this great bent needle! ;-)

 

 

Nein ich denke es war das Material. Für den Sohn einer Freundin musste/durfte ich etwas nähen, damit die Ellbogenschoner während des Motocrossfahrens nicht nach vorne rutschen. Mal sehen, ob meine Lösung gut ist.

 

No, I think it was the material. For the son of a friend I had to sew something that the ellbow protection isn't gliding to the hands while driving on his motocross motorcycle. We'll see if this solution is o.k.

Krank / ill

Dass ich seit mehr als einer Woche keinen Beitrag mehr veröffentlicht habe, liegt nicht daran, dass ich in den Ferien oder sonst irgendwie beschäftigt war. Nein, mich hat es ganz schön erwischt mit einer starken Erkältung und Lungenentzündung! Langsam kommen meine Lebensgeister wieder und ich hoffe, dass ich bald wieder nähen mag.

 

That you didn't hear anything from me for more than a week isn't because I am on holiday or very busy. No, I've got a bad cold together with a pneumonia! Slowly my spirit is coming back and I hope that soon I'm well enough for sewing again.
